Hi. I have Windows XP on an ACER 5315 laptop. I have a Logitech HD1080p webcam. How do I simply get the webcam output to come up on my laptop screen? I don't want to stream video onto to the internet.Thanks.

Actually, I think the model of webcam is C910.

The only thing I can currently do is go Control Panel> Scanners and Camera> USB Video Device and take a snapshot which results in thumbnail size files. But, no streaming video.

Hi Yes, I'm onto it. I've been waylaid by thinking I had model HD 1080p, when I have C910. Once I realised that error I could see I had some downloadable software. I'll download it and see what gives. Could be the solution. Rich

Adding Logitech's software has done nothing to add streaming video capability to my PC screen.

That WebcamViewer has enabled video streaming which I can see in a reasonably sized window on my laptop screen. So, that is a solution.

One other point: It is important to install all of the Logitech files. When I first installed, I just installed the drivers, but since then I installed everything, I now have all kinds of options.
