[SOLVED] how do you use a laptop as an external display for my pc ?

I have an acer laptop and have been told i can use it as external display for my pc through my netwok but not sure how. I have tried the project display in windows 10 but can't find it on my pc if thats not an option is there any other options to me?

but that suggests there is a current connection to the 2 devices which i'm trying to make. but having my pc and making a connection to make my laptop the second display

The laptop needs to support Miracast and both the laptop and PC need to be using Wifi. A Miracast dongle will do the job provided you don't have that option.

I just did this with my Laptop and it works the same with my Roku+

I keep looking for another way but this one so far does the job.
