How do you wipe an SSD and transfer your operating system to the SSD from the HDD

I am using HDD, and I just got an SSD from a friend and need to wipe the SSD then tranfer the operating system to the SSD from the HDD. Is that possible? If so how do I do it?

Quick Format the SSD , and I use Macrium Reflect FREE to Clone.

you can try Paragon if you want simple and fast

be sure to make recovery media (on DVD or flash) using win PXE and not linux , and when you mak the image or restore image , boot clean from that media.
