So hi all, I am fairly new when it comes to buying through g2a and I have done it before when buying on the steam platform but what exactly is ORIGIN? I heard something about a monthly payment?

How does it work for example with this game?
https://www.g2a.com/simcity-standard-edition-ea-origin-cd-key-global-english-only.html

Do I need an origin account or something? Will the game be always mine or will it disappear after a time limit?
I am confused...

Solution
Origin is ea's cut down version of steam.
With only EA games.
Keys work the same as steam - if you trust g2a purchases - you have the exact same risks/pitfalls as buying a second user game key for steam.
Origin is by EA games, they host all of their games, you can buy all EA games there. G2A has nothing to do with Origin, simply you can buy keys off G2A to enter in origin to use the games just like Steam, you enter a key and you get the game.

I see but is the game mine there forever? That was my biggest concern and question because people said origin is q subscription thing....
I never said g2a has anything to do with origin I just see here in the link that if I buy it on g2a I will get a origin key... Thus I want to know if it is like a steam key, forever mine and not gone in a month because I need a subscription...

the subscription service your friend mention is origin Access

it is different from buying games.

its a choice

you can also buy games normally using keys

Origin has no subscriptions except origin Access, you pay like 5 bucks a months you can try out any game for free for 10 hours and another few perks, you keep your game forever as long you don't delete you account.
