hi guys my specs are
intel i5 3570k
ati 6670 ddr5
asrock extreme4
i installed latest virtue driver, intel hd 4000 driver & ati driver
but intel driver never opens.......i think discrete gpu driver replaced intel driver.....
but i don't know that lucid is really works or not....
i switched on gpu virtualization and hyperperformence and added exe game file in lucid virtue......(added exe file in d-mode)
but my question is how will igpu work without intel hd graphics driver?....as i connected monitor in d-mode.......
is virtue really works, discrete gpu+igpu works together? or am i missing something?

Virtu in D-mode should NOT have game .exe's added to it. In d-mode it will just use the IGP for video trans-coding(quicksync). Last time I checked they had just a handful of programs in the list.

If you connected your screen to the IGP, you would have I-mode and all many games would self add and run on the dedicated video card. others could be added as needed.

Just check the device manager to see if both cards are installed and working. The Intel IGP control panel program will not show when no display is connected to it, but it is still working.

no discrete gpu drivers does not replace intel graphic drivers...virtu mvp just adds a software layer to fool the system to think that it has only one gpu(i-gpu or d-gpu) so that it both can be used.

virtu only works best for video encoding and stuff....games might work in some cases and some suffers a lot

You do add exe for hyperformance, which uses the igpu + discrete in games. But it doesn't increase performance. The igpu is tasked to intercepting and removing extra draw calls. So it only works when you are above your monitors refresh rate. It is artificially raising the fps because it is not tasking the gpu to render the frames it removes but the fps counter still counts them.

If you use the onboard(with Virtu), your dedicated video card will not work unless you are gaming. When the rendered images are copied from the buffer of one card to the other you can get a performance hit.

Most games are quite playable in this configuration.

You loose access to the dedicated cards control panel features so that is a sacrifice you have to make with this system.

If you have no interest in Intel quick sync for video trans-coding or the power savings of keeping the dedicated card idle clocked(or ZERO core for new AMD cards) while not gaming., you do not even have to use Virtu.

It is important to know most video card will have idle clocks anyway(this is how they can idle so cool), but they will jump when lets say watch a video(flash/dvd/media center/ect) or even view the toms hardware main page(web browser hardware acceleration). The idea of Virtu(In I-Mode) is that the onboard card uses much less power on all non gaming activities.

Again. You do not NEED to use it if you do not want to.

again thank you.........all i really want is just to try..........my 1 last question is
should i have to add the exe file (like battlefield3.exe) which is already included in the list of lucid virtue mvp and which is not???

ok thank you....right now i have latest version of virtue and i don't think to add battlefield 3 exe file as it already included.................
