Title says it all, in the BIOS it says mODe 5. But I would just like to make sure it is working in Windows, plus handy to know. I get around 23500 in Sandra, so it is on right? 40gig 60XGP.

mode 5 is UDMA 100 or ata100.
and somewhere in sandra it should say wether your drive is behaving as an ata100/66/33.

havnt benched my 40gig 60GXP for a while but 23000 sounds about right. will do that later today when i get home.
