Hello everyone , i just got 18 and the house where i now live in is 100-200 meters away from my uncle's house and i want to be able to connect to his WiFi and he agreed, i got tp-link 2,4 GHz outdoor and i have been told that i have to get the IP address of a person's WiFi instead of the password in order to connect , but how do i set this up on my computer? ( Windows 10 ) I don't understand what should i do , whenever i check there are no available WiFi networks appeared on my networks bar and it now says "Ethernet". I used to have another wifi adapter back when i was a student that enabled me to connect to my neighbour friend's WiFi. But my dad doesn't want to pay for WiFi , he thinks it's stupid and he doesn't even comprehend what internet is. Any help of how i could install this weird device on my computer?

My apologies on the link. Didn't realize that TP Link wouldn't allow a direct link. BUT, you can get the manual from the first link I posted under the "Support" link next to the "Overview" link.

You put the TP Link on the outside of YOUR house pointed at your uncle's house. Then a short ethernet cable from the TP Link brings the network inside your house. IF that still doesn't get a reliable link, then you would have to get a second TP Link and put it on the OUTSIDE of your uncle's house acting as a wireless AP. That would give you the strongest signal as a starting point.
If this is the device you have then you would set it outside, pointing at your uncle's house. You would configure it as a bridge or client. Look at PDF page 11 of the manual to decide which mode. The network would come inside on an ethernet cable.

My uncles house isn't visible behind all those buildings , also the PDF you linked says access denied , what do you mean
The network would come inside on an ethernet cable.
Does that mean that we have to somehow connect the routers through a 200 meter cable? I only have the option to afford wireless network connection. Can you send me a link of how i could make this Ethernet device work? Or does it require any drivers? Thanks for your time and help so far

Just to clarify something here, you don't pay for WiFi, you pay for internet access. WiFi is from the router you use connected to the ISP you get internet from. So are you saying your family does not have internet service or just does not have a WiFi router?
