[SOLVED] How does one stop/ disable infotips globally ?

infotips makes programs such as SolidWorks hard to use when I cant see what is under the useless infotips. This is present in my browser "chrome" for instance if I hover over a shortcut it shows the URL and full name. Useless when the short cut is clearly named. I have followed a bunch of tutorials over the last several years trying to stop this but nothing seems to work.

Noted that you have Windows 7.

However, try the Folder option in the following link:

Not sure if that is still viable/applicable to Windows 7.

There are registry edit solutions but that is only to be a very last resort. And only after full backups, etc..

Only mentioning that because the registry edit solutions show up rather readily....

Registry Edit may be workable but certainly at some inherent risk and even more so with Windows 7 pending EOL (End of Life).
