[SOLVED] How does Ryzen overclock?

so i have a r5 3500, 3.6Ghz base, 4.1Ghz boost (1.4v reported), 4.0Ghz allcore boost (1.31v reported)
2400-ish multi R20, 450-ish single R20

other specs:
B450-A PRO MAX
G.Skill SniperX 2x8GB 3600Mhz C19

so now im doing a litlle manual overclocking on the BIOS,
4.5Ghz allcore 1.3v, stable P95 (smallest FFT)
get me a ~2900 multi R20 (5x run), and ~510 single R20 (2x run)

what i want to ask, how to make the voltage fluctuate at how much usage it needs
since this override voltage stays at 1.3v at any load :( [i have a little knowledge about ryzen oc-ing]
example: i want low usage (10%) just using 0.5-0.7v, full load (100%) use 1.3v

my previous build are i5 4670k 4.5Ghz 1.25v
that multiplier stays 45x while the voltage fluctuate but maxed out 1.25v (c3 state enabled)
can i do this with ryzen?
 
Solution
Best method: you don't. The cpu tunes itself better than you can.
What works with Intel cpus is not as effective with these.

Put a great cooler on it, pair it with dual channel 3600mhz CL16/17, and call it a day.

so.. just turn the PBO on at BIOS? and let the CPU think itself?
what settings do i have to do to set at the PBO?

i do intent to tightening the C19 to C16 tho, got a b-die (thaiphoon burner read)
and have a great cooler H110i GT

I laugh when I read the words little manual overclocking .... followed by 4.5GHz all core on a CPU thats designed for 4.1GHz Max turbo on 1 core only. That may look little to you, but is not little to me.

As Phazee88 wrote usually for Ryzen 3xxx is better to leave the CPU alone.

I do not know what have you done to call it "stable", cause runing prime95 small FFT, let say for 20~30 mins, is not a great indicator of that.

B450 mobos are usually not a great platform (at least not the low~mid range models) to be able to do the fine tuning you are asking for, Im not sure is even posible on high end mobos (X470/X570) either.

I would really leave the CPU alone, but if you insist on keeping the OC (at your own risk, after all OC voids the warranty) I would use a good cooler (as Phaaze88 wrote), lower the OC a bit to 4.4GHz and try to keep the voltage close to 1.25volts, or even lower if posible.

Oh and also keep an eye on the temps. Usually hwinfo64 (sensors only option) is one of the best monitoring apps to see everything in one place (and also keep the track of the Max, Min and Avg values).

hahahaha ;) +0.4Ghz it is a big gain...

so how should i set the PBO setting, or just all auto settings on cpu core?
ofcourse i'll set the memory at 3600 C16/17

im just exploring what i could do with 3500, probably not gonna daily oc it

my gaming experience did not improve from my 4670k 4.5Ghz
but at least i know that the cpu usage its not 100% anymore :)
and thats a good thing

im using HWinfo64 to monitor all things, never reach 65c while CB R20 (29c ambient)
