How does this 290x gaming system look?

There's plenty of folks here who know better than I do about this stuff. Please share your opinions on this gaming set up...especially on how it can be improved both cost and performance wise.

Last time I built one was 2009. It's a Q6600 on an ASUS P5E3 Premium with a Sapphire HD4780x2 running on Vista. It's still going strong, but can't run the new stuff at a good frame rate.

You got a good cooler for that unlocked haswell cpu? I just figure you will reuse an optical and HDD/SSD.

I've read the Haswell can get pretty warm. What do recommend for keeping it cool? I'd like to avoid liquid if I can. As far as HDD/SDD I was just going to use a Western Digal 1TB unit

you dont need 16gb ram (lower it to 8).

buy a seasonic or xfx psu instead (or get the corsair hx series)

no dvd/cd? hard drive?

other than that not a bad start.
