This will be my first time building a computer so any suggestions you have - please be clear.

Also, I will be triple monitor gaming on it, so will this support CrossFireX HD intense gaming?

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($149.75 @ Vuugo)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.79 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($99.99 @ Memory Express)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($75.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($62.44 @ DirectCanada)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card ($223.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($65.47 @ DirectCanada)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer ($17.82 @ DirectCanada)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($93.87 @ DirectCanada)
Total: $819.09

Also I do not mind spending an extra $50-75 if it means having noticeably better FPS
Thanks

Its $60 more - is it a lot better than the M5A97? I was expecting to put that money towards a stronger GPU

Do you think that GPU is strong enough alone to support most games? And isn't this mobo CFX ready - like the M5A99X?

I appreciate your help

Yes, it is powerful enough to max games.

your motherboard can technically do crossfire, but, it only runs the second lane at x4 making is pointless and basically no performance difference between it and a single card.

You REALLY need a board that runs both lanes at 8x/8x to use crossfire.

So definitely worth the extra cash if i plan on doing crossfire? Thanks a lot - what do you think about the rest of the system, all look good? Anything i should know before tackling this? this is my first time building a pc
