[SOLVED] How does this look for a £1000~ build

Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite

Is this a good £1000~ build, any parts I can change for an improvement in performance, I’ve only bought the Ram so far so changing parts isn’t a big problem.

What psu should I buy for this, I was thinking of getting a Seasonic SSR-650px but it’s a bit much, though I do wanna make sure i get a trust worthy psu.

Resolution/Refresh?

Any particular reason why you've opted for the X570 Aorus Elite? Specific features on it?
If no particular reason, then you can go a simpler Gaming X which could save you a bit. Or go to B450.
PSU make and model is solid.
Also you may want to opt for 3200 RAM with the Ryzen.

Hellfires post above is a great suggestion. If your budget allows and it's a good price, I'd opt for the Seasonic over the TXM, but the TXM is still excellent.

Thank you for the reply’s, my main usage would be for gaming, art, animation and possible editing/3D modelling.

My monitor rn is just a 1080p 60hz monitor but I plan to get a 1440p 144hz monitor in the near future.

I was wondering if itd be better to get 3200mhz ram, and after this I guess I’ll go get that instead.
Probably the biggest reason I chose the Aorus elite was because it’s the cheapest x570 board I found that had good reviews, though it may be a bit much considering I probably won’t use all the features of a X570 board, I was debating waiting for the B550 boards to release, and I guess it may be a better option considering it’s almost September and the B550 boards will release some time early 2020 at latest if I remember correctly, so there’s not a huge amount of extra waiting (considering I’ve already waited 4 years to build a new pc after my old one broke).

You could always just stick to B450 or X470, however I would recommend the Gigabye Gaming X that logain has suggested, excellent board and should be a fair bit less than the aorus elite.

Do you think waiting for B550 boards would be a good idea with my budget, because if it would be better I am willing to wait.

PC component prices keeps fluctuating rather frequently. Waiting for 550 can be beneficial for you in terms of budget, but if you do so then you need to reconsider the build at the time of the purchase. It might not be hugely different from now, but based on part prices at that point of time, you might have to reshuffle some parts in order to gain max price/performance ratio.

hmmm, thanks for all the reply’s, this has given me some confidence and ideas for the build, before buying anything else I’ll have to return the ram and get 3600mhz ram instead and then I’ll decide whether I want to wait or not.

If I where to wait the components that would have the most price fluctuations would be the Ram and possibly the GPUs right?

Yes.

I wouldnt buy the 3600 of you already gave 3000. Use the 3000mhz and bump the if clock up. Goves you same 0erformance to 3600mhz.

If just a few pounds more do i see no reason not to take the 3600mhz ram. He should get the 3600 performance for sure and might even be able to overclock it like you suggested.
