How does Wireless Mini USB Wifi Adapter works on laptop

I cannot find network drivers for my sony vaio vpceh25en laptop since i have installed Win 7 Pro 32 bit. Can i use a mini usb wifi adapter to access internet. How does it works.

The USB adapter just plugs into a USB port, install drivers, and it should work just the same as your installed wireless.
