How does wireless router MU-MIMO work?

Hi,


Looking to buy wireless router with MU-MIMO, so how will that MU-MIMO work?
The device connecting to the router should be MU-MIMO ready also like iphoneX?
or the MU-MIMO ready router is much stable than the old wireless router w/o mu-mimo even connecting devices aren't mu-mimo ready?

It is a feature that does not really do much. Most wifi problem are due to interference from neighbors.

If you have multiple mu-mimo device it will attempt to split them into different groups. It in theory allows multiple device to get data from the router at the same time. Without the mu-mimo the router will just quickly switch between users.

Most time the wifi is not the bottleneck in a network it is the internet connection that in the limiting factor.

It does not hurt to have it but I would not spend extra money to get it. Most people will see little if any benefit.
