Hey guys i'm looking to buy Overwatch off Cdkeys and I have a few questions about it. First thing how dose it work and how can they sell them that cheap. Second thing is i'm a bit confused do I buy this https://www.cdkeys.com/checkout/cart/ and i get the full game and get to play and Australian servers because its all a different price when i went on the AU website https://cdkeys.com.au/platform/battlenet/overwatch-origins/ please help i would really appreciated sorry if it was a dumb question. :)

Solution
A CD key works just like an activation key or a serial number (whatever you want to call it), you redeem the key through steam, origin or the game you are installing from a CD/DVD, you don't actually redeem the key randomly through any of these steam has its own CD keys or people call them steam codes, origin has its own, a game has it's own and kanye has himself!

and the answer to "how do they get so cheap?" is usually through fraud. sales do happen of course but most of these sites selling brand new games at less than half what they are supposed to cost do so through fraud methods. they buy and use stolen credit cards to get the codes and then sell them to pocket the money. or they pirate codes from a legit source and sell them, only later does the buyer find his key disabled or blocked due to being a duplicate.

frankly saving the money is not worth it to me. if you want the game, then pay the money like everyone else. same goes for windows keys. it costs what it costs and anyone selling for less is not on the right side of the law!!

MERGED QUESTION
Question from Daniel_limanis : "should I buy games from Cdkeys?"

Should you? That's entirely up to you.

People will chime in with "sure, I've used it before & all was good" or the flip side "no, I used it and got scammed" etc.

Personally, I've never used CDKeys - but you have to ask yourself how a company (CDKeys, G2A, Kinguin et al) can provide a product so much cheaper than official channels (Steam etc). Some instances have been breaching EULA & nothing more, some have genuinely been products they acquired cheaply & could pass the savings onto consumers, but some have even been purchased via stolen credit card info and sold that way.

Depending on the route source, keys can be blacklisted (now or in future).

That being said, many, many people use sites like CDKeys and have no issues. I've used G2A once or twice with no issues.

If you do decide to use it, I'd recommend PayPal as your payment method, and using a Credit Card on the other end (if possible) to add additional layers of protection should something go wrong. At least you'd have a better chance of getting your money back.
