How durable is my case?

I have the Azza Genesis 9000 and yesterday I walked by it and I think that the plastic button on my shorts may have slightly grazed the case. I was wondering if the case is durable enough not to get scratched by that. Also, my iPod connector fell on the top. Could that have possibly scratched it? This is a brand new build and I'm really ocd right now, can barely enjoy it since I keep wondering if I screwed it up.

Its broken now, you have already done irreversible damage to it, throw it away. (Why don't you just LOOK at the case and SEE if those said events did scratch it? lol)

I mean like it will do exactly what you need it to without problems as long as you don't like throw it down the stairs or whatever. All cases will eventually get scratched up from normal use such as missing the USB port, stacking things on top of it, dropping junk on it. As long as the case takes the beating and not the components inside, its doing a good job.

If you can't see it, is it really there? Do you have your aluminum foil hat on? think the aliens are after you! (Sorry having a very hard time believing this is a serious post.)

Dude, your case will not stop working if it gets a scratch. If I throw a book at it, it should still be good. OCD is a hell of a thing.

Yeah I know, really hate ocd. Do you think something like that could scratch the case though?

it depends on the surface of the case.

You would have to hit it pretty hard to scratch it with those items.

All you can do is be careful OR just know that the case is little more then a device to hold the rest of the system. Over time it may get some scratches.

It's a steel case with matte paint. Would a drop of 1 foot damage it?

you have a good chance the plastic/rubber part will hit first. It should not have enough mass to scratch it, but I ain't about to start dropping on on a case to find out.

Sounds to me that you need a case to protect your case. Hmm then you might need a case to protect the case that protects the case... This could get problematic!

Not unless you are trying to scratch the case with it, it is far to light to have even close to enough force to scratch the case by just falling.

Very unlikely to unless it has lots more mass or is crushed under something else.
