How easy is it to install a second set of RAM?

I am looking to get new RAM. If I get, for example, two sticks of HyperX Fury how easy is it to buy the same set again and install it in the future? I don't understand things like Dual Channel / Quad Channel. It's not sold as a set of 4 so would that make any difference to whether I can use 4 sticks of it?

Even if the two kits are the same make and model, they may be different if they were produced in different months or years and therefore may not play well together. I always recommend having all the memory in your system be part of the same kit

Since the motherboard operates on dual channel memory, yes the specified memory modules are compatible with your motherboard. Buying two of the same sets shouldn't be a problem, however, mixing sets may still lead to stability issues, there's never any certainty.

The motherboard/chipset determines if 2 modules will run in dual channel, 3 modules in triple channel and 4 modules in dual or quad channel. If your motherboard supports dual channel, then 4 identical modules will work as 2 x Dual Channel kits. In theory, a kit should contain modules that have been tested and are guaranteed to work together. I know that it's more marketing than anything else.
