I'm really confused about this.As the ratings for 2nd gen i3 2120, i5 2500k and 3rd gen i5 3570k have same performance rating of 7.6 out of 7.9...(source : google and youtube )

Here are the price and their rating for different processor..

sandy bridge i3 2120 -7.6 (6.5k)

http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1650/3/

sandy bridge i5 2400 -7.4 (over 10k not sure)

sandy bridge i5 2500k -7.6 (over 12k)
http://compare-processors.com/intel-core-i5-2500k-vs-core-i5-2400/2221/

ivy bridge i5 3550k - 7.4 (over 13k)
ivy bridge i5 3570k - 7.6 (15k)

I'm not sure about the prices, please mention it.

Could u guys explain the difference between these processors ?

So the i3 2120 is equivalent to i5 3570k and i5 2500k..then whats the point of putting so much money on successors..?

Is the only difference is inbuilt graphics which is better in ivy than sandy..? What if we add GPU for all ? Will the i3 2120 gives the same performance when compared to i5 2500k and i5 3570k ?

there's no real advantage of ivy bridge over sandy bridge(5-10%) besides power consumption and the integrated GPU.

Windows Experience Index is worthless. it is in no way shape or form a CPU benchmark. You need to look at actual CPU tests.

I have my i5-3570k bough at gilmore for a (10k). and windows said it is 7.5

unksol is right! try some serious benchmark to tell the difference like cinebench r 11.5, super pi, sisoft sandra, wprime, prime95 etc. or just convert atleast 50-100mb of video and get some stop watch to see the difference in minutes. ;)
