How far can I extend a Webcam through USB Extension with Booster

I need a USB Extension for a webcam, I measured the distance of about 35 meters, I have seen these 20m to 30m USB extension with booster. So my question is, how far could I extend my USB Webcam? Will it work on the 30m/20m usb extension? Thanks

For 100ft, you should look at an ethernet based camera rather than a USB camera IMO.

I already have my USB webcams so I am asking if those webcams work on a 20m or 30m USB Extension.

I suspect cost wise you are going to be better off just tossing your USB camera and buying a IP camera. You are just past the limit for some of the more inexpensive devices. The main thing that causes problems even when you are closer is if you require the USB to power your end device. It is easier to extend the data signals than the power.

They do make devices that will carrier USB over 100meter ethernet. These are active devices that require power on both ends. They are much more expensive than just buying a inexpensive ethernet connected ip camera.

Well i am going to buy a USB Extension, Im just asking if my webcams will work on a 30m or 20m USB Extension.

My bet is they won't provide power to your camera correctly. The wires are extremely small and have high resistance

Active extensions might work but frankly have to agree with the above dump the usb and get a poe camera.
