I’m currently running:
2 x 16 GB 3000MHz C15 Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM
MSI 1050 Gaming X 2GB GPU
Ryzen 7 1700 with included cooler
MSI x370 gaming pro mobo
Sandisk 480 GB SSD
2 x WD 2 TB 7200rpm HDD
850w EVGA superNOVA G3 PSU
I know the RAM is overkill for my system but it was on sale at the time so why not.
The end goal is to upgrade to the 5000 series processors with either the rx 6800 or a RTX 3070, but with supply being the way it is the earliest that could happen is February/March.
Is it worth an upgrade to a 1660/1650 if I want to upgrade to the current gen within the next 6 months? I feel like if I upgrade the GPU to anything over a 1660 I’ll be bottlenecked by the CPU, and any new CPU will be bottlenecked by my current 1050
