How fast is segate 7200.14 2tb?

I have read reviews saying that the 1tb and 3tb versions are faster (something to do with the platter numbers, with 1tb per platter I think), but how much would the actual difference be?

I ordered the 2tb version since I'm on a tight budget + its going to be my backup drive so speed isn't the biggest issue, but it'd be nice to know how much of a difference it makes.

I'll probably test it when it comes and share the results also

if you get the 2 platter version of the 2tb you'll get the same performance than the 1 and 3tb. now if you get the 3 platter version it will be slower.

the model name is the same but there is a phisical diference.
