If I don't overclock a GTX 690, how long can I expect it to perform well,

Well = (at least 60+ FPS on Ultra)

on future games before it drops below 50. Because I'm not the kind of person that wants a really short but extreme experience. I want it at least to last a good few decent gaming years.

Thanks Folks!

690 is NOT futureproof due to it's 2gb of Vram. This card works just like SLI but on one pcb. Specyfication will tell you, that it has 4gb of vram, but actually vram in sli is not shared. It's really 2gb ( 2gb + 2gb, but it sees only 2, they don't share memory)

Better buy something like 290x with true 4gb of VRAM or gtx 780 (3gb vram) if you like g-sync. Remebmer, that AMD have mantle.
