[SOLVED] How good are old Xeon's in gaming?

Hi,i constantly see/hear people talking about those hidden gaming gems like the old Xeon workstation cpu's since they can serve as a gaming pc instead of a workstation,some of them can be overclocked?
I really wanna know their possibilities in gaming,comparisons to some gaming cpu's like the old i7's,etc...
As they can be found for really cheap on the used market.

The thing is dont know almost nothing about them,but lets start of with ivy bridge ones,the lga 1155 socket.Is there a Xeon equivalent to lets say i7 3770k?

I have Xeon E5-2670 with radeon RX 580, and it run any game i tried so far.
I still haven't had any bugs or problems.

Xeons are not compatible with all consumer motherboards. The choice of motherboard matters significantly.

In general, Xeons perform very similarly to their consumer counterparts.

Xeons may not be overclockable.

Xeon 1270v2 and i7-3770 are the same cpu basically, the Xeon has some extra instruction sets, but games don't make use of them.

The larger issue is Xeons general lack of igpu, some have them, many don't. Older Xeons also are only 4c/4t, not hyperthreaded, so generation can matter.
