How good/bad is the Gainward as graphics card company compared to ASUS in these days?

Solution
30% difference means the Gainward is definitely the better choice. The Gainward non Phoenix model will have a less fancy cooler than the Phoenix or the ASUS ROG Strix, but the performance of a 1070 Ti is more dependent on your luck in the silicon lottery than on the model you buy.

So the Gainward may not look as nice and in the worst case be a tiny bit hotter/louder, but the performance will be pretty much the same for 30%(!) less money.
