That combo should do fine on low settings on any game out there. I have an i5 2430m and a GT 540m in my laptop. It plays WoW and D3 fine. I haven't really tried any other titles, though. I haven't really seen any games come out that really interest me.
The GTX 750m is a pretty good GPU. You can certainly play nearly any game with high settings at 1366x768 resolution excluding very graphically intensive games like Crysis 3 which you might have to play it at medium settings. For a 1600x900 resolution screen you should be able to play many games with medium settings. For a 1920x1080 screen you will most likely have to play most games with low graphic settings.

Here's a link to for some GTX 750m benchmarks. Hover over the graphic settings "Low", "Med", etc... to find out the settings used which can be different for each game. "Low" for one game maybe 1024x720 resolution while for another game it might be 1366x768.

If there are multiple benchmark results then click on the benchmark FPS number to find out the laptop which got that FPS for the game you are looking at.

Yeah. It has a stock speed of 2.5GHz and with Turbo Boost, it can reach 3.1GHz assuming the temps are not too high and only one core is used. The most powerful Haswell Core i5 that I know of is the i5-4330m which is 2.8GHz / 3.5GHz. I am pretty sure if there was an upgrade option from the i5-4200m to the i5-4330m it would be at least $200.
