Tbh though, if I was spending as much as you seem to be on such a good gaming rig, I'd want an efficient, quiet fan/heatsink solution on the Gpu. To this effect, I would wait until the non-reference R9 290 cards come out in the next few weeks. An R 290 with an MSI, Asus, Gigabyte etc. cooling solution will be a force to be reckoned with for gaming. Just look at what Tom's Hardware have done with adding the Arctic Accelero Xtreme III:

I'd suggest against getting that cooler, and just wait for the add in board partners to do their own custom coolers.
The build looks pretty good, I remade it in pcpartspicker, and switched some parts around so you can see the best prices (and price match w/ Newegg).

An i5 would be perfect for your rig, and I've found Windows 8.1 for $90, so I put that in instead of 7.
I personally own the Black Widow Ultimate, and although it's a good keyboard, I'd recommend going for a Ducky Shine 3 (higher build quality, less bugs in software/firmware).
Also, don't get an H55, it performs near identically to a Hyper 212 Evo for more than double the price. Go for an H100i

Nope. Intel uses the old, slow, and crappy Sandforce 2.0 controller. The Samsung 840 Pro has a far superior proprietary controller that uses Toggle NAND and gets better read - write times. A 5 year warranty can't make up for slow, problematic hardware.

Agreed! Intel uses the old Sandforce 2.0.. controller but customized one, I'm already using Intel 520 (sandforce controller) series & very happy with the overall performance.Looking forward to this new product from Intel. Both Samsung 840 EVO and Intel 530 are world class ssds. At the end of the day, though, Intel & Samsung have the best reliability history with their SSDs, but as with everything, both do still have an above-zero failure rate. You won't be disappointed with either, and you'll keep a backup of important stuff anyway
