System intent: To be used for 3D Visualisation, heavy 3DS Max files,Vray renders, post in Adobe PS&AE + Architectural VR work.

The machine has been specced to adhere to a budget £1250 - £1550 so please no recommendations for brand new xeons or quadros! =)

The Intel i7 5820K (and it's earlier brethren) is an extremely capable machine. I've built with it for workstation use and it does a great job. I'm a little puzzled by your choice of Intel SSD and a number of people here will surely point out that you probably can do better with the PSU.

Also, personally I prefer the ASRock motherboards over the Asus motherboards - but that's almost like religion - we each have our own preferences.

Since you didn't mention country or prices or budget, it's also hard to make comparisons. There may well be a build out there with a Xeon that will perform better, or you may want to wait a few weeks and get a much more powerful Nvidia GTX 1070 for about the same price, or maybe the GPU is not central to your requirements and you can save money...
