[SOLVED] how good is the 2060 really?

so im looking to upgrade my gpu i have around $350 and was going to get a 1070ti but then the 2060 came out and i was going to get that, but then i found some used 1080s for the same price..

ive been told that the 2060 was just a 1070ti with rtx, ive also been told its the same as a stock 1080, and overclocked the 2060 was better than the stock 1080. i need to know for sure where the 2060 falls in this line up. is it really as good as a 1080?

There are plenty of reviews out with benchmarks showing how it performs relative to other cards. Overclocking results with Turing aren't drastically different than for Pascal from what I've seen.

As you said, RTX 2060 OC is equal to or a little better than the 1080. Given the price point and the additional RayTracing ability which will be utilized by many games in days to come, I say it is really good (at 1080p that is). Definitely go for the 2060 if your use case doesn't exceed 1080p gaming.
