[SOLVED] How good is the RTX 3080 10 GB or 20 GB of VRAM as a Thunderbolt 3 eGPU?

Hello I have something to ask here.

Is the RTX 3080 whether if it's 20 GB or 10 GB any good on a Thunderbolt 3 eGPU PCI-e 3.0 enclosure? The reason I am asking is that I am questioning my current Alienware 17 R4 Laptop with a Core i7 7th gen 7700k for this newer hardware I am wanting to get for Christmas. And I am wondering if using a RTX 3080 as eGPU on a Thunderbolt 3 laptop with a core i7 7700k on a Razer core X PCI-E 3.0 enclosure will be any good or will run into bottlenecks? Heck, there are not even any video demonstrations on how it games like "Shadow of the tomb raider, Apex legends, or Fortnite" would work with a RTX 3080 on a Razer core X eGPU Thunderbolt 3 enclosure with a PCI-e 3.0, a core i7 7700k, thunderbolt 3 laptop.... So I don't know if a RTX 3080 or 3070 would have any potientianal with Thunderbolt 3 on a Core i7 7700k laptop....

I know the RTX 3080 cards are sold out everywhere but I would like to know if you know how these newer graphics hardware will work great or will have bottlenecks on a core i7 7700k thunderbolt 3 laptop.

I'm pretty sure the 4 lanes of 3rd gen pcie is a bottleneck for the 3080.
It was a 8-12% bottleneck on the gtx 1080 Ti, so for a card several magnitudes stronger...

Also, the i7 might not be a bottleneck right now for most games, its only 4 cores, which for some games is actually a big deal.
