How good is Thermaltake TR2 80 plus Gold PSU??

Hi,
I've bought a new pc. My graphics card is Sapphire R9 380 Nitro 4gb and my processor is core i5 6600. Now I did check and read reviews about every components but the salesman from the shop give me Thermaltake TR2 80 plus gold has come up with P/N- TR2-0600P-G.

Now I've read some pretty bad reviews about TR2 PSU's. Is this one really 80 plus gold and can run my pc??

Need some advice immediately.

You should be fine. However, it is not a very high psu and if you want to feel safer than you could grab this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-210gq0650 Superflower makes excellent power supplies for EVGA and this one is also a good price.

EVGA does not make the PSUs - Superflower does.

Any Seasonic, XFX, be quiet! PSU will do. Other options are Corsair AX, TX, HX, RM and their i series (AXi, RMi and etc) but avoid CX, CM and VS. Rosewill Capstone, Enermax Platimax, Superflower Leadex are also good units. These are all at the top of my head.

I just don't the budget right now to get another PSU. I just want to know whether I should be fine or not.

When did you buy the PC? Could you not return the TR2 back?

You will probably be ok but I would suggest getting a better psu when you get the money.

It will run, and it will power your computer.

Using it for a high-performance use, such as a gaming computer, will shorten its life-span significantly. You have put a good 'tractor' engine in a 'race car' computer.
