Nah not worth only a 960m for 900$ def not worth at all.

Just spend the extra little bit of money get the newer 1060 laptops it will blow that out of the water.

They're both overpriced and barely gaming PC's. With current prices, I'd say go for a 960M if you've got $700 and better than that if you've got $880.

For a gaming laptop, look for the following components:

Graphics Card

Yes, that's the only component that matters very much. You also want a quad-core Intel CPU, but most come with that. You also want a 1080p matte display, but most come with that. You should plan on upgrading to your own 256GB or larger SSD sometime, but you can sometimes find ones that come with them at the same price.

Here's an excellent place to compare laptop graphics: http://www.notebookcheck.net/mobile-graphics-cards-benchmark-list.844.0.html
In your price range, the GTX 960M is the minimum you should consider.

If you want to compare laptop CPUs as a tie-breaker, go here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist.2436.0.html
You want a Quad-core CPU, so double-check the model every time. You do not want a CPU with a "U" suffix, which denotes low-power, as it will hold you back in some games.

For day-to-day (non-sale) prices, XoticPC is the best place to buy a gaming laptop: http://www.xoticpc.com/
Hmmm...I just checked that website and their prices are HORRIBLE right now. Maybe they're out of inventory from the holidays?

For sales, check a sales site like slickdeals and keep an eye for frontpage deals with a 960M or do a search on their site. To be honest though, it looks like most laptop places are out-of-stock. You'll find MUCH better prices a month from now.

That's a business laptop not a gaming laptop... the easy way to tell is that it has a VGA port.

as for actual performance it isn't much to write home about with a very low power (the lowest power non-phone or micro computer chips intel makes) and on-board graphics you can absolutely do better

get a Dell 15.6" Inspiron 15 7000

It is faster has a better screen and is actually meant for gaming.
it is also within your price range.

Hope this helped!

It all depends on what good means to you. With that machine you're not going to be maxing out the most demanding of games. Most people don't believe in such a thing as gaming laptops period. However, if you realize that you'll probably have to run games on a medium setting to see fair performance then sure, this gaming laptop SHOULD be good. Again, what I think is good you may think isn't. It's subjective.
