The one with the i7-9700k for $1549. I mean all of those components together would easily cost that, right? If not more? And the fact I get the convenience of already having it pre-built. Just wondering what kind of power supply it has as my experience they cheap out on that.

I have a Corsair CX650M 80 PLUS Bronze 650W PSU that is not that old and wonder if that is compatible with this computer?

I will definitely recommend you build your own with that budget. If only gaming, I will do this instead:

Absolutely not a recommended build just showing if they buy in any sort of bulk it's not cheaper than you could do yourself. And I'll guarantee you the water cooler, and motherboard neither one will like the 9700k

Z370? not good enough VRM also
I won't touch that ssd
ram can be faster to utilize Z chipset
case is not good quality

if your spending $1500 go to a better retailer such as Maingear, Origans PC, hell even a alienware is better then IBUYPOWER. or even just a HP, leveno box >< ibuy has VERY bad track record for honoring warranties. and more times then not use the cheapest part they can. i would notr def never buy a water cooled systems from them. id not recomend a watercool to any1 who does not know much about PC too. in today market, the gains of water cooling are very minimal unless you allrdy have the best of the best for parts know what your doing and rly not worth the risk.

also the CPU on it, the i7 9700k is a good cpu, very lil gain for the dollar because of expensive it is, BUT the issue is its paired with 2400 speed memeory, that should be at least 3000

I am definitely only gaming - not even streaming or casually streaming.

But why 2 x 8 GB RAM and not 4 x 4 GB ?

i second this build, the only think i may swap is the CPU and compatible MB, the 2600 will preform a lil slower on a few titles, but ull save $100, and atm at retails such as new egg, u get a free copy of the division 2. but buying the 9600k from new egg youll get call of duty BO 4. ur call, both are good systems

4x4 is hard to run 3000 speed compared to 2x8 and has little to none speed benefits. Different story for Threadripper though.

Also that case says it comes with two fans. I already have a newer fan in my current case, so I could have 3 total. One intaking cool air on the bottom front, one blowing out hot air out the back and a third blowing hot air out the top. Or do you want to intake cool air from the top?

Yes, it is decent quality. I will update psu to a better unit in a few years, such as Corsair TX650M, or even better: RMx, Seasonic Focus Plus or EVGA supernova G2/G3.

Nah, top is usually spitting out since hot air will go upwards. Do you want to reuse your case? If so, what case is it?

But I already bought the one you posted. I'd like a new case anyway. Just wondering how many fans I'd need. Also, what way to the fans face to do what I want them to do? I know for intaking on the bottom front the blades should be protruding outward (away from inside of case), and facing the same way at the back to blow out hot air (i.e. protruding outwards towards the inside of the case from the back). Would the top one be if I look downward the blades would be concave?

Does the cooler you posted in the build allow future room for using all 4 RAM slots on the mobo? I know that can get tight sometimes.

Since I am using an intel processor do I need to worry about removing that piece they mention on the AMD part? The AMD retention module? Don't even know what that means..

Also, my buddy said he always starts builds by first mounting the mobo in the case. I should mount the mobo in the case first right? Then latch the i5 in the mobo. When I am ready to place the cooler, apply thermal past to the back side of the processor and lay it flat and screw in however the instructions say?

For intel 1151 the cooler instructions actually recommended mounting mobo first. My friend and I mounted then read the AMD instructions on accident where it did say AMD was better to install cooler before mounting. So we then reinstalled mobo again and got the cooler on while mounted. Took some effort for sure.. it is indeed hanging over the ram...

Currently I have no front fans...didn’t even put that case panel back on as to allow for more openness and space for some cables. I have the rear and top fans as came installed in the case (which we had to remove prior to mobo install and put back prior to cooler install). The cooler fan is huge and the 2070 has two fans ....am I really okay with no intake?

Initial temp was 42.5 Celsius after turning PC on. We also applied our own thermal paste after cleaning stock paste off with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Didn’t even realize it was pre pasted I personally thought it was a sticker or something covering the surface of the cooler connection to CPU..

That instruction only applies to the stock cooler. A lot of them have a backplate which literally can't be installed in most cases with the motherboard installed. Anyone who always puts the board in first hasn't built many PC's or definitely not many higher end ones
