How good, or bad is the GT640 GPU?

I really like the sound of the Nvidia GTX 680, but in my country it's still quite a pricey board, I'm considering the GT640, or possibly 2 run with a parallel bridge, or something like that. Who has any advice on this before I make my final decision? Thanks guys.

You cannot SLI the 640.

Second:

Get at least a 650 Ti. A 750 Ti is also good. Or depending on your budget you /could/ get a Radeon R7 260X if they sell them where you live.

I can't recommend gt 640 and at least a gtx 750 to play to all modern games at some solid frames.

It looks like I'm going to have to hold off till I can at least get the GTX 680, you have no idea how expensive this type of tech is here in South Africa. Thank god for E-Bay

When you look at actual game benchmarks though, the 650 Ti and 750 Ti just completely kill the 460. For price to performance I'd go 650 Ti/750 Ti.

I'm not advocating it, just saying how bad/good it is. The difference is not that much, if you look at the NVIDIA performance charts. I have mine OC too, so it pretty much ties.
