how high can you overclock your GPU? 980 TI

some gpu's will perform better with increased memory and some wont install unigine valley and msi afterburner. slightly increase the voltage and then the core clock. then run the benchmark to see if its stable and if it improved the score. do this till you eather get a black screen it crashes or something similar happens. you then will go back to the last successful clock and start increasing JUST the memory (not the voltage) keep doing this for the memory till it no longer increases the score and then your are good.

edit: after fully overclocking it go under settings in msi afterburner and create a custom fan curve to keep it cool.

I went ahead and did the core clock and memory last night, I got this in the benchmark : Graphics 2044 MHZ Memory 3304 MHZ. Should I proceed with upping the voltage?

edit: how do I do the fan curve?

i would first run a benchmark. then continue to overclock it and up the voltage a bit see if you can get a better benchmark. and if you are using msi afterburner go under settings to fan and select user defined fan control then move the points on the image.

what do you suggest I should do my voltage? 10 MV per? or 5?

unfortunately i couldn't suggest that its different for every card

okay, thank you. Do I need to up the voltage though?

I'd like to see that...take a screenshot or record it or use hw 64 to monitor that session and it will show your max clock speeds. No one can hit 2000 Mhz on stock voltages and a stock bios on air. You'd need 1.4V at the least, which is not possible on that bios and you would need liquid nitrogen cooling to hit 2000, if you could.

sorry man, but I guess the post below told me that the benchmarks are off in Heaven.

Oh yeah, no problem man, wasn't sure if you were trolling or what lol

lol, I wasn't. I was getting that amount in the program, I could upload it if you want, but I guess the benchmarks are off.

hey, I had to download drivers again and I want to overclock it again, doing it right. I can't see the graphics option in the benchmark now. Can you help a brother out? lol

Yeah no prob man...check out the other one you wrote, I just posted to that to help you out.

Download msi afterburner if you don't have it already. Do the final build one at the bottom ...4.1.1

hmm interesting did you keep both gpu's at the same speed and voltage? i have had luck with all my overclocks some more then others but i got a performance increase from all

Yeah in afterburner it is set to sync with both Gpus. So I couldnt touch the memory clock by more than 5Mhz or i ran into immediate problems.
