How i can know that my motherboard supports core i3 processor

Hello,my motherboard's model is - foxconn h61mxl/h61mxl-k, & my processor is intel pentium g620 2,60 ghz
-i want to know that can i upgrade my processor from dual core to Intel® Core™ i3
My current HDD - 500 GB
My current RAM - 4 GB [DDR3]
chipset: intel sandy bridge
southbridge:intel H61

You can upgrage to a Sandy Bridge i3/i5/i7 easily(ix 2xxx series). In other word, you are free to upgrade easily.

Yes, you can use the Ivy Bridge CPUs also, but you would need a Bios Update on your mobo, which is why I recommended you the Sandy Bridge CPUs. But, since you do have a SB CPU, just update the BIOS and play with your IB CPU.
