[SOLVED] How important is PCIe 4.0?

Hello!
I am building a computer now.And AMD will release new ryzen 3000 CPUs that will use PCIe 4.0, soon. How important is this? Should I wait to get a mobo with PCIe 4.0? There are many used 1080 TIs on ebay right now, and they use PCIe 3.0. I will probably buy one of them. And for an upgrade, I will probably buy another 1080 ti, and put it in sLi with the older card. So PCIe 4.0 may not be necessary. But, what if by the time I need an upgrade, cheap used 1080 TIs are gone from the market? Then will having a PCIe 4.0 slot make a difference?

Forget 4.0 , 5.0 is almost ready to get released.

Additionally to 99% of people 4.0 will mean nothing significant anyway, nor will 5.0. and it's also very likely 4** series board will end up with 1 4.0x16 slot anyway
