How important is the motherboards backplate?

Unfortunately my z68x-ud4-b3 motherboard i was given did NOT have the backplate with it, and it costs like £15 just to buy it online, and then another £10 just to get it shipped. On a scale of 1-10, how important is that backplate?

Air flow, stability to your connections, keeps rats from dieing on your board if you have a rodent problem. I have seen video connectors break off due to no stability, if you use a video card thats not a problem. if you can live with the rest, its not important at all.

Not at all important.. largely cosmetic. I guess it may help ensure all airflow goes where it is supposed to.. but really not important

Thanks mate, i'm going to be moving it into a Sharkoon Bulldozer this january after buying my GeForce GT 750 TI, just wanted to know i wouldn't be danmening myself,thanks!
