Hi, i just bought a sapphire 7770 ghz edition, I can't put it in my PC till i get home, i'm on holiday at the minute.

The resolution of my monitor is 1920x1080.

Games i'm looking to play with at least medium settings - Battlefield 3, Euro truck simulator 2, far cry 3, just cause 2, need for speed most wanted and mafia 2.

Rest of system in signature.

So, can i play these with 1080p and at least medium settings? :)

Cheers!

wow, you should just save up and build a new system.

Can you not disagree with my GPU choice AND my build.

I'm 14, this system/GPU was hard to save for, in fact, my system was only built 3 weeks ago.

So, it may be easy for better off people to mock it, but i'm happy with it as my familys not rich.

7770 will run pretty much any game on medium at 1080p. Ignore the trolls who bash midrange or budget cards. They're probably running on integrated graphics themselves.

I'm sorry for my comment. For what you have the 7770 is well rounded. 10Gigs of ram seems odd. Make sure you're running the same amount of ram in both channels and that slot 0,2 and 1,3 match so you are getting dual channel and not single channel.

I have 2x4GB Kingston hyperx blu ram and 1x2GB Hyperx blu, it's running in dual channel.

How do you think the 7770 would handle the games i listed?

Cheers! :)

I am using Sapphire 7770 OC edition on 1600x900 and does well with BF3 and NFS most wanted 2012 on high settings.

Sadly Battlefield 3 leans towards Nvidia as my gtx 660 matches a 7950 in performance in that game. I'd suggest running your games in 720P, medium settings, and with some AF/AA. You'll have a better gaming experience with a little AA and medium settings than high settings and no AA.

In the 12.11 Beta drivers all the 7000 series got a huge boost in performance. I don't think your statement is true any more.

What do you think, which one is better: Sapphire 7770 or Gigabyte 7770 OC? I like how Sapphire looks like but Gigabyte seems to be a little bit faster. And one more, can you rate my configuration plz from 1 to 10:
AMD Athlon X4 740
Patriot DDR3-1866 8192MB
ASRock FM2A75M-DGS
Gigabyte 7770 OC (not bought it yet, just considering)

There is no need to make excuses for your system. It's perfectly respectable. It's better than what most people of any income bracket use for their home computer- it just isn't the grand statement of your commitment to excess that some people feel a need to make. I would have never guessed you were 14- on the other hand, I might have assumed that of someone happy to mock someone for "only" having a quad-core processor, dedicated mid-high end graphics card and 10gb of DDR3-12800 memory as their system specs.

I don't have a whole lot to add to the answers already given, but I did feel the need to say something about the fact that you shouldn't be put in the spot of having to defend yourself just because someone felt like randomly making themselves look like a troll.

Hi, i would rate your system a 6/10 for todays standards, 7/10 if the CPU was overclocked.

I would think the gigabyte one is better, it's overclocked and has a good fan/heatsink.

A 7770 would be a good upgrade.

Cheers! :)

I got the 7770 today, it and the hardware work flawlessly.

Plays mafia 2, euro truck simulator 2, just cause 2 and need for speed most wanted at 1080P with medium-high settings at 40+ FPS!

Very happy with it.

Nice, Yea if people dissing because of your budget then they in the wrong and if your happy with your pc then happy gaming. I will say this when its time to upgrade ask questions about the right path so we can do our best to work with what type of budget you have to have a better experience on your new future upgrades but only when your ready. But im glad to see we have a new comer to the pc world congrats!!!

That is awesome. Congrats on your working build. I built one almost exactly the same for a buddy and he's about the same graphics level. Only differences are i gave him the phenom ii 965 and only 8gigs of the same ram.

Athlon x4 640 should be okay if overclocked to 3.8GHz? :)
