I am building my first computer. I will be gaming at 1920x1080p and can spend $1500-$1750 and will be overclocking. This is what I came up with:

Intel Core i7-4770K
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
MSI Z97S SLI Plus ATX Motherboard
8GB G.Skill DDR3-1866Mhz Memory
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD
1TB Western Digital Black WD1003FZEX or Blue WD10EZEX
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB GDDR5 Superclocked ACX Video Card
Corsair 200R Case
Corsair CX600 Power Supply (Wattage calculator says it takes ~448-468 watts)
Lite-On iHAS124-14 Optical Drive
Logitecg G105 Backlit Wired Gaming Keyboard
Corsair Vengeance M95 Mouse

I already have the monitor and speakers. Thanks for your help.

Better GPU and the i5 is the same as the i7 in 95% of applications, including games. Also has a better cooler, And psu leaves room for future SLI and upgrades

So all games will be better with an i5? What about Sony Vegas, I do a lot of video editing, so will that be fine with an i5?

Everyone says WD is better than Seagate...

From what ive heard they aren't reliable cuz they stop working after a year or so of use for some reason.

Your build costs more, for worse cooling and less storage, but does have an i7

edit: hey we can go up to $1750!

Can you specify how this build has worse cooling?

WD 1 TB Black series, i7 4770K (i'd still get the i5 4670k), with a MSI motherboard (they do look great dont they) and GTX 780Ti from ASUS (DCII cooler)

(EDIT: First build had blue ram, *facepalm)

The Corsair HX and AX are their only PSUs I'd touch. To the OP, these are very good recommendations.
