Hi,

Here is a list of the parts I will include in a future gaming rig, coming in the next few weeks. I want to have your comments and, if possible, I have to do some changes. The total price is 1605$ on Newegg.ca:

Case: Fractal Design Define R4

CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K Haswell 3.5 GHz

Cooler: Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme

MB: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H

GPU: Gigabyte N770 GTX "Windforce" 2 GB

PSU: Corsair HX 750W GOLD 80+

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2 TB

SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 128 GB

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB @ 1600 MHz

Here are some questions related to the components:

- Is 2x 140mm front intakes and 1x 140mm rear exhaust enough for cooling the rig ?

- Do this watercooling system will fit tight in the Define R4 ?

- Do the Corsair HX series are good power supplies ?

For that budget, this is the best build and it is a beast. Everything from the case to everything is super awesome. Something that i would have had personally got if i had the money to go for it.

From what I've read and the reviews, the Corsair HX series has some great supplies. Only Corsair series that would be considered better would be the AX series because the AX is cooled better, more modular and got polymers on the secondary. The HX regulates a little better, but doesn't really have much over the AX. The AX is the newer unit that's supposed to replace HX.

If you're worried about fans/cooling performance, the Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra, CM932 or CM942 would suffice, but that's just my opinion on what you could get for the most bang for you buck. I'm currently building my own rig as well and stuck between the Blackhawk and 942. The BlackHawk comes with 8 fans and is a supertower. The Coolmaster 942 comes with a side panel window, filters and a cover you slide in your psu if you choose to mount it on the bottom. It's all about preference on whether you'd like a superior case that sacrifices looks or a case that performs somewhat similar and is more appealing to the eye.
