How is the quality of Asus Motherboard?

Ok so I was determined to buy X99 Strix but after reading the reviews in NewEgg, it looks like most of them are failing after 2-3 months. Is this true? Shall I buy it or go for something else?

I've got an older Asus P7F7E-WS and it's rock-solid. I agree though that the high number of 2 month failures on the X99 Strix is concerning.

I was also surprised by the failures reported on the Strix. My Gene has been running fault free for a couple years, nearly on 100% of the time.
