Question how is this build, value vs performance suggestions

i dont plan on over clocking, using for gaming system, will be gaming at 2k, Any conflicts, or suggestions as far as value vs performance. would hate to pay double for a part for like 3% increase in performance.
i know the 8400 is also a good processor, 9600 isnt too pricy what do you think?

As I said in my attachment about the Cooler - I'd go AMD, are you sure you need a 2070?
Whats your Monitor?
Monitor and GPU should match to some extent.

If you don't care to overclock then get the 9400F as it saves you a lot of money.

Why 32gb or RAM?

Why a disk drive?

thank you all for your input. I originally was going to go without the video card for a year to get a next gen card next year and use the intel built in gpu, to play civilization and warframe, after doing some research i realized that it wouldnt be playable, so i will be geting a video card, so i might just go amd at this point, as there new cpus are coming out next month and i hear they will be good, and they have more pcie lanes. @ 4.0 as well. If i were to buy a video card to hold me over for a year or two, lets say in the 200-300 dollar range that would be good enough for civ 6 at 2k and warframe. what would you guys suggest with a amd cpu build.

So the 9400F doesn't have a iGPU so you would need a card but if you need something as a placer holder the RX 570 4gb at $130 would be fine (1080P/medium-ish settings) but to be honest I'd just get the better performing GPU now so if you can afford the 2070 then that's what I'd get for 1440P gaming.
