Is everything compatible and is there anything I should switch out? Most of the cases I want apparently wouldn't fit the GTX 970 inside. My budget is about 1000$ , I have already purchased the monitors, keyboard, and mouse. I am also clueless as to what PSU to get. Pcpartpicker told me my wattage was 356 so should I got a 450W PSU? I plan on purchasing the parts a few hours from now, thanks in advance.

Solution
Ok, avoid that PSU (you have a 500W selected, not a 450W). The Corsair CX line is poor quality.
A SeaSonic S12II 520W would be perfect for this rig (with the 970) or an EVGA SuperNOVA B2 750W with the R9 390 I'm suggesting.

You added a wired network adapter...........you don't need those anymore. Almost all motherboards come with quality ethernet ports...

Any reason you're not looking at Skylake? (out of curiosity)

Any preference for GPU? Personally I'd go for an R9 390 with it's 8GB VRAM...

This would put you on the latest socket/platform & comes in right at your $1,000 budget

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($238.89 @ OutletPC)...

Skylake, keeping the 970, the SeaSonic PSU and add an SSD......still at $1,000
*There's no reason you couldn't keep the SuperNOVA B2 in this build, it wouldn't hurt.
Without the SSD, you're closer to $900...

You should probably upgrade the PSU to a silver or gold rated one, and get a 550 watt. You should also not get any extra case fans, at this budget they're pretty much useless. Other than that though you look good, though you might want to get an ssd to boot windows. Happy computing and good luck!

Thanks , didn't know about the Ethernet ports on the motherboard , my current pc is pretty old. Not much of a preference on the GPU I heard the R9 390 ran a little hot but I forgot about the 3.5GB Issue with the 970 so I will definitely be picking up the 390 instead. Pricing is kinda difficult right now because I gotta shell out an extra 50-60 dollars for Windows 7.
