Good upgrade in performance, major upgrade in storage capacity, definite upgrade in looks, better case. The 120Gb ssd will work just fine, keep game files on the hdd, keep steam and saves on ssd. Minimal impact to performance, major performance upgrade possible depending on the game.

Well based on your original build it looks like your budget is around $600, maybe $700? Well the Pentium G4560 is almost identical to the i3-6100 (2 cores/4 threads) and performs great for $60. Changing that out with a newer motherboard will save a little bit of money and I went with a different PSU.
