I'm not actually planning on building this, I just thought i'd have a little fun and try to find the best parts that I would like in my dream build and see how good this PC would be if I build it 😀
Saying that if I ever have that kind of money to spend then i'll most definitely build this. I should also mention this has the OS, monitor, thing to get me WiFi (power-line adapter), and peripherals.

Solution
samsung 840 evo is the old model
850 evo is much better

for a dream build tho, 950 pro is where its at.

i mean if your making a dream build with an unlimited budget. why not go with a extravagant case from lian li or in win?

I demand dual E5-2687W v3 for a dream build. 20C/40T @ 3.1GHz. Preferable 256GB RAM.

I'd fill the case with 1TB SSDs and max out the board with M.2 drives. I surely wouldn't have a use for 3 BD burners. And there'd be at least three 4K monitors.

Yeah go for the 950 pro! But its a bit overkill to go 64gb ram unless you going to render stuff etc😛 And i would go for one high end GPU and wait for the nvidia 1000 series !

Are you basically using 24 cores with this build? Also are the ghz on both cpus combined to total out to 5.4 ghz? How does the while dual cpu socket thing work exactly?

Can u overclock both? If you overlclock 1 does that effect the overall speed of both? Do you HAVE to overclock both?

What happens if you only overclock one core?
