This question probably belongs in the "Storage" section.

You'll have no problem putting a 250GB HDD in that "Inspiron 5100"


I had a 5150 before Dell replaced it with a 6400, after it almost caught on fire... I go with WD's myself, and believe I had a 160GB in it at the time.

The only real issue = Hard drive type SATA or IDE. Since a 120gb drive is the same physical size as a 500gb drive
