How long do backlit keyboards last?

I recently bought a Razer Lycosa (wonderful keyboard, very happy with it). I have the entire keyboard lit most of the time, and my desktop tends to be on for at least several days at a time. I usually turn off the backlights on the keyboard if I know I won't be using it for a while.

But I've been wondering just how long the lights will continue to function? I know LEDs are supposed to last for over twenty years, but has anyone had different experiences involving the lights dying out after only a couple years of use or so?

Solution
LEDs should last pretty close to forever. They are basically unaffected by power cycling, and unless there is a power surge, I would be stunned if any burned out in less than 15-20 years. I've had a backlit keyboard for a couple of years now, and it's still flawless.
