Hi, I was wonder how these components would last to me they would last a very long time I know my mom likes the fx-4300 its plenty fast for her, the motherboard is the same as the one I used to build my moms almost as good as my Sabertooth. I do know that intel has betterr single core but this build is much cheaper with better compnents.

BUILD
CPU:FX-6300
CPU cooler: Hyper 212 Evo
PSU: Rosewill capstone 550W Gold certified

MOBO:ASUS M5A99FX PR0 AM3+
RAM: G.Skill 1866 (2x4):
GPU R7 260x:
HDD WD Blue 1TB:
standard optical disk ASUS
CASE: NZXT Source 210 windowed

For "general" computer use, web browsing, movie watching, ect that's crazy overkill.
This should be all you need:

Well I am want it to last as long as possible and these are high grade components I have chosen. i have updated them with the correct parts and I do know it is overkill but it should last a very long time an a6-6400k is not going to last very long. or a g3220. this is my first customer's build and he said build one for $800 If he had a lower price range I wold have changed the build.

Oh, well you didn't really explain clearly the purpose of the build.

And it depends what you mean by last long. New games coming out will make them not "last long" but general computer work hasn't changed much in the last decade. That's why SO MANY businesses are still using windows XP computers from 2004 to do all their work.

For general computer use @ $800, a 6-core is a waste of money.

This is a much better 800 build:

Good choice on the board, should help you get some good overclocks in the future.
You can opt for the m5a97 evo r2.0 to bring the cost down, not much difference between the two.

The rosewill capstone 450W(modular) is sufficient for your system. even if you go with a 270x.

This system should last long, for general use & some mid level gaming as well.

I just want to make a good well rounded system he told me he is not planing on gaming so I went with good components even for the psu mobo instead of the gpu because he said it is not for gaming. the Intel motherboard you used is a little cheap I got the Hyper 212 Evo to keep it cool so heat will not be a problem, with 2 120 mm fans on the top of the case.

Just cause it's cheap doesn't mean it's bad, again, you never said WHAT he wanted.

He doesn't need a graphics card if he's not going to playing games, that's why the first ones I suggested would have been fine.

Heat won't be a problem anyways unless the room is hot and/or he's doing heavy video gaming/video rendering, encoding, ect.

an fx-6300 isn't a balanced cpu anyways, it's heavily reliant on multicore applications (some games, some programs) to make it worthwhile.

You're underestimating what the cheaper CPUs can do, you could get an A10 series from AMD or an i3/5 from Intel and it will handle "general" computing.

If you're worried about heat i3s don't get hot.

Just cause he has 800 to spend doesn't mean he should spend 800 dollars.

thee total is $668
