How long does a fan last?

I'm wondering how long does a fan last at full speed and turned on 24-7? Does RPM speed matter toward their lifetime duration? I'm running many fans like 80mm & 120mm with different RPM speed(mostly 4800rpm). I run all of them 24-7 full speed, and I like to know how long will they last. Anyone with good information, let me know. Thanks.

Anywhere between 0.001 seconds and 200+ years. As with any manufactured product, it all comes down to 40% manufacturing and 60% luck. I've been running this pack of 120 mm Rosewill fans 24/7 for about the last 8 years without issue. I also bought an Alpine CPU cooler whose fan didn't list much more than a year.

It really is luck of the draw.

Although it is a lot of luck, buying a fan with a good bearing is wise. Sleeve bearing generally have a shorter lifespan. Fluid dynamic bearing last a long time, so do double ball bearing, ball bearing. Rifle also have a longer lifespan than sleeve bearing.
