how long is 8800gt

Does anyone know how long the XFX alpha dog edition of 8800gt is?I'm wanting to put it into dimension e520,also do I need to take the stock pci card out or can I run both cards together?Im putting A 500watt/35v power supply in also.I'm hoping to find out length before buying card.If it s too long Im considering A PNY 9600gt,heard they are 9 inches long.

I believe the 8800GT is 9 also

Hmm, actually I think its a little closer to 10". I used to have a 7950gt (9" I believe), and the 8800GT fits even more snug. Look for the gigabyte version (I wish I knew about it before I bought mine :\ ). It's a compact design, about 6 or 7" I think.

A reference size 8800GTX is 270mm long or about 10.63 inches long.

A reference size 8800GTS (G92) is 220mm long or about 8.66 inches long.

A reference size 8800GT is 229mm long or about 9.01 inches long.

+1 to 1.5" for the pcie connector also, it plugs straight in on the front end

XFX just came out with a new Zalman edition 8800gt
It uses the same cooler and same shorter board as the gigabyte, only xfx has good response from tech support and a double "LIFETIME" warranty, I bought mine a few days ago and got it for 169.99 and when I get my rebate thats only 139.99 Tiger direct raised the price $5 the day after I bought it

i'd take an XFX over a gigabyte any day, but if you reaaaallly want neverwinter nights 2(it comes with it free) then go for the gigabyte,
but if it dies be prepared to mail an RMA to Taiwan and deal with poorly translated support messages

Thanks i'll probably go with xfx alpha dog,should fit snug but is single slot only so not as tall.

yeah I just bought 2 XFX Zalman edition 8800gt. great deal for 170ea and now don,t need to but an zalman cooler myself, just need to add a zalman fanmate and it will be really silent. can,t wait to get em.

only con is that is's nog factory oc'ed
